Aashir Meeran
Aashir is a molecular biology intern at E11 Bio playing a role in developing protein barcoding strategies to identify neurons. He recently completed his third year at the University of Toronto studying Engineering Science specializing in Biomedical Systems Engineering. In the past, he was an undergraduate researcher in the Garton Lab at The University of Toronto where he investigated how synthetic biology could be used to improve stem cell viability in low oxygen environments.
Outside of the lab, Aashir enjoys exploring the outdoors through biking and challenging hikes. He also enjoys trying different sports but bouldering seems to be his current favourite. He’s always excited to talk about all things tech and human psychology.
