E11 Bio is seeking a creative and mission-driven Machine Learning Scientist to develop and deploy novel methods to transform large-scale light microscopy data into discoverable synaptic connectivity information. In this role, you will own core ML pipelines for synapse detection and assignment in optical connectomics datasets, working closely with wet lab scientists, microscopists, and domain experts to ensure biological fidelity and scalability. Your work will directly support E11’s goal of making reliable connectomic data accessible to the broader neuroscience community.

We are seeking a hands-on in vivo senior technician to take full ownership of our animal perfusions and in vivo workflows. This role is responsible for executing and continuously improving perfusion, fixation, and injection protocols, including preparation of perfusates and active troubleshooting of tissue-quality issues. Working closely with experimental scientists, this person will help design, execute, and debug in vivo labeling experiments, and will play a central role in ensuring the reliability and reproducibility of tissue used for our mission to map the mouse brain.

You will help our scientists in building scientific processes and techniques to write and read unique labels into neurons at the scale of the mammalian brain, and have opportunities to hone both technical skills in molecular biology and microscopy and to work as part of a unique team structure.
