Jeff Chen
Jeff is a molecular biology intern at E11 Bio working on protein barcoding strategies to lower the cost of proofreading in brain connectomics. He previously worked in the Garton Lab at the University of Toronto, exploring prime editing and recombinase systems for large-payload gene delivery in human cells. Jeff also served as a project lead for the University of Toronto’s iGEM team, where he developed open-source toolkits for designing novel plasmids.
Outside the lab, Jeff enjoys reading, exploring nature, and playing all racket sports. He has recently developed an interest in modern philosophy and is always happy to receive book recommendations from fellow enthusiasts.
