Jun Axup
Jun Axup is Chief Operating Officer at E11 Bio, where she runs day-to-day operations and helps direct strategies to amplify E11's work in the world.
Previously, she was Chief Science Officer & Partner at IndieBio, a leading life science accelerator, where she had funded and advised over 160 companies working on improving human and planetary health.
She holds a PhD in chemical biology from the Scripps Research Institute, where she developed targeted immuno-oncology drugs using unnatural amino acids (Axup et al., PNAS 2012). She worked at several startups in the fields of immuno-oncology, protein engineering, lab automation robotics, and CRISPR. She was also a founder of a multiplex proteomics biotech company and a science toy company.
She is passionate about brain longevity, axolotls, and writing science songs on the ukulele.
