Kathleen Leeper
Kathleen Leeper is E11 Bio’s Lead Scientist for Barcoding, developing neuron labelling strategies that enable robust large-scale neural circuit mapping. Prior to E11, she worked on technologies for genomic recording and genome mapping as a founding member of Reza Kalhor’s lab at Johns Hopkins (Kalhor et al., Science 2018 and Leeper et al., Nature Protocols 2021). Before that, she worked in George Church’s group at Harvard on a diverse range of technologies, including spatial transcriptomics, super resolution microscopy, cell engineering, and CRISPR-enabled lineage tracing.
Kathleen has library cards in five cities on two coasts (and one island). Her favorite moment of a dinner party is the 11pm espresso.
