Michelle Wu
Michelle is a molecular biology intern at E11 bio, focused on testing various strategies to create unique DNA sequences to label neurons. She received her undergraduate at the University of Toronto where she studies biomedical engineering. Her passion for synthetic biology and biotechnology originated from her role in iGEM, leading her to explore a wide variety of associated fields. At her prior research positions, she has worked with RNA helicases, microorganisms engineered for bioremediation of wastewater and, most recently, cell-free protein expression systems.
Michelle enjoys hiking and exploring new landscapes. She also loves plants but struggles to keep them alive during the cold Canadian winters.
