Sung Yun (Rosa) Park

Rosa is an Optical Connectomics Scientist, working on multiplexing technology development and sample production and imaging at E11 Bio. Before then, she closely collaborated with E11 to develop the optical connectomics strategy during her postdoc at the Francis Crick Institute in London, UK (PI: Sam Rodriques) and generated the first large local connectivity datasets at synaptic resolution. She is now bringing her direct experience with the technology into E11, hoping to help take optical connectomics to greater heights in the context of an FRO.

Rosa’s first love in biology was Drosophila and came from a very different background working on membrane trafficking at the Golgi during her PhD at the MRC-LMB in Cambridge with Sean Munro (Park et al., Current Biology 2022).

She loves good music (Kate Bush geek), cinema, and coffee!
